About Us

Started in 2002, Bridgeway House was born out of the love of a mother. Her fierce unwillingness to accept the limited resources available to her daughter grew into a phenomenal creation. Bridgeway House strives to provide all children in need with the very best programs possible. We do this by providing treatments, courses, and support to families and individuals affected by autism and related disabilities.

With autism on the rise, we recognize we must give thoughtful consideration to all alternatives to enrich our children’s and loved ones' lives. Bridgeway House works with a variety of professionals, teachers, consultants, and specialists to deliver programs, services and hope for children and their families.

What is Autism?

Autism is a complex developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life. The result of a neurological disorder that affects the functioning of the brain, autism impacts the normal development of the brain in the areas of social interaction and communication skills. Children and adults with autism typically have difficulties in verbal and non-verbal communication, social interactions, and leisure or play activities.
